简介：Beat-ClubwasaGermanmusicprogrammethatranfromSeptember1965toDecember1972.ItwasbroadcastfromBremen,GermanyonErstesDeutschesFernsehen,thenationalpublicTVchanneloftheARD,andproducedbyoneofitsmembers,RadioBremen,laterco-producedbyWDRfollowingthe38thepisode.ItisnotableforbeingthefirstGermanshowtobebasedaroundpopularmusic,andfeaturedlegendaryartistslikeTheRollingStones,LedZeppelin,JimiHendrix,TinaTurner,TheWho,BlackSabbath,TheBeeGees,TheBeachBoysandKraftwerkinitsseven-yearrun.In1972,itwasreplacedbyMusikladen. PerformancesfromtheshowcannowbeseenonVH1Classic,andrerunsairinseveralEuropeancountries.SeveralDVDcollectionshavealsobeenreleased. Inearly2008,thefirstfreeVideoondemandwebportalforBeat-ClubandMusikladenwaslaunched.Mybeatclub.comfeaturesthemostpopularsongsandartistsofbothshows. Showhistory Beat-Clubwasco-createdbyGerhardAugustinandMikeLeckebusch.TheshowpremieredonSeptember25,1965withAugustinandUschiNerkehosting.GermanTVpersonalityWilhelmWiebenopenedthefirstshowwithashortspeech:"Goodday,dearbeatfriends.Thetimehascome.InfewsecondswewillbeginthefirstshowonGermantelevisionmadeespeciallyforyou.Asforyouladiesandgentlemenwhodonotlikebeat(rock)music,weaskforyourunderstanding:thisisaliveshowforyoungpeople.Andnowwe'retakingoff..."Aftereightepisodes,AugustinsteppeddownfromhishostingroleandwasreplacedbyDJDaveLeeTravis. Theshow'searlierepisodesfeaturedliveperformances,andwassetinfrontofaplainbrickwall.Itunderwentarevampin1967,whenamoreprofessionallookwasadaptedwithlargecardsinthebackgrounddisplayingthenamesoftheperformers,andlip-synchedperformances.Aroundthistime,atroupeofyoungwomenbilledthe"Go-Go-Girls,"wereintroducedtodancetosongswhentheirperformerscouldn'tappear.
