简介：In2010whilefinishingthedocumentary,SENSEOFSCALE,BertonPiercestartedpre‐productiononhisfirstfeaturefilm,ADVENTURADOS.Hisdesirewastomakea“fun”scifidramedyabouttwocharacters.Afterfouryearsofgatheringthebudgetmoney(includingworkingasamodelmakeronWesAnderson’sGrandBudapestHotel)hewasfinallyabletogetthelowbudgetindiescififilmmade.Alongwithwritingandco‐producingthefilm,Bertonedited,directedandservedasvisualeffectssupervisor/productiondesigner.ThecastandcrewwereputtogetherinBerlin,Germanywherethefilmwasmade.Setswerebuilt,miniaturesweremadebyvariouswellknownprofessionalmodelmakersinEngland,AmericaandGermany.MinimalCGIwasusedinthemakingofthisfilmasBertonprefersanaturalisticatmosphereandvisualtexture.Charactersarewhatshouldbringthefilmandstorytolife,andthisisreflectedintheeclecticcastingofIrish,AustralianandGermanactors.…
