Oneoftheoccasionallygoodbutmostlyso-soshortfilmsfromChanticleer,Iapproachedthisshortfilmwithcautionandtriednottotakeanynoticeofthefactthatsomeofthecasthavegoneontomorefamethanthisgavethem.Theplotisaweirdone(IassumethattouseElvis'imageyoumustpayafee–hencethecreationof"Delroy")butitisprettyobviousandalsoquiteslowtodeliververylittleover30minutes.Iwasn'theldorinterestedintheplotatallafterthefirstfiveortenminutesanditdidnothingtopullmeintoit. Theperformancesarenotgreat.TheguyplayingJackwasOKbutdoesn'thavearealpersonwithinhim,howeveratleasthewasn'tasannoyingasthe"angel"characterwhohadaterriblecaseofthehamsabouther.ForposterityitisworthmentioningabriefappearancebyViggoMortensenasEl,sorry,Delroy;sufficetosayIdoubtthatthistitleisstillonhisCVwhenhegoesforinterviewsnow.Langdirectswithinaverylimitedbudgetandhecannotpreventitshowing–particularlyoncetheactionmovesoutsideofJack'sflatintoheaven.
