Perhapsinanattempttoslipsome"meaning"intothefilm,thedocumentariansDamaniBakerandAlexVlackarrangeaconversationwiththescholarCornelWestandTavisSmileyfromPBS.Itfeelslikethey'retryingtoleadBillintoheavygeneralizations,buthewon'tgothere.WithersseemsasclosetoeverydayZenasIcanimagine.Hetalksagreatdealabouthisphilosophy,tobesure,butit'sdirectandmanifestlytrue:Makethemostofyourchances,dothebestyoucan,stopwhenyou'refinished,loveyourfamily,enjoylife. At70,hesingsonceinthefilm,atatributetohiminBrooklyn.Andinhishomerecordingstudio,heandguitaristandsongwriterRaulMidoncollaborateonasonginSpanish,whichIliked.Hestillhasthevoice,thechopsandthepresence.Buthedoesn'tfeelaneedtospenddaysandweeksawayfromhomeprovingthat.Hismusicendures."I'mlikepenniesinyourpocket,"hesays."Youknowthey'rethere,butyoudon'tthinkaboutthem."…
