Afterhismilitaryservice,DavismarriedandworkedfordecadesasaphotojournalistforTimeandotherpublicationsworldwide.In2003,attheageof54,hediedfromlivercancer,believedtobetheresultofhisexposuretoAgentOrange.ProducedbyDavis'swidow,AGENTORANGEchroniclesthehistoryofthislethallytoxicherbicide,tracingitseffectsnotonlyonherhusbandandotherU.S.servicemenbutalsoontheenvironmentandcontinuinggenerationsofVietnamese.
