SlowSummerwasshotonaminimalbudgetonSuper-8film(a35mmblow-upwasproducedforthetheatricalrelease).Itpositionsitselfclosetothe"real"lifeofitsprotagonists,alooselyassembledVienneseBohèmecharacterizedbyidlenessandaimlessdrifting.Onesummersceneaftertheotherunfoldsinadocumentarymanner,framedbyafilm-in-filmscenariowhichmakestheconstructionapparent.Thescenesareruledbyintensitiesthoseofthecharacters,butalsoofthemoodoftheday.Thefilmisaboutnothingbutthenabouteverything:animageoftime,thereflectionofmentalstatesthatcontinuouslychange,andalmostinpassingit'salsoaportraitofthecityandthelifehiddeninitsalleys.…
