简介：Inspiredby,andmakingcreativeuseof,thephilosophyofGillesDeleuze,FacsofLifeisafilmineightplateausthatattemptstosketchandconstructsingulartrajectoriesoflifeandthought,beginningfromaseriesofencounters:withvideofootageofDeleuze’scoursesatVincennes(1975-76);withseveralofthestudentswhoattendedtheseminarandwhoappearintheseimages,found30yearslater;withthewoodsofVincenneswheretheuniversitybuildings(pulleddownin1980)oncestood;withstudentsofthenewuniversityatStDenis;andinevitablywiththephantomsofrevolution,bothcinematicandpolitical,thatcontinuetohauntourdesires.
