TherehavebeensomanyfilmsofthisilkthatTheSell-Outstrugglestocomeupwithanythingfreshorinteresting.WidmarkislikableasthereluctantheroandReedgetstoputinsomemoodyposturingastheenigmaticdefector.DirectorCollinsoncutsbackonthehard-hittingviolencethatcharacterisesmanyofhisearlierfilms(there'sviolenceinthisone,butnothinginthesameleagueasFrightorOpenSeason).TheSell-Outisaveryformulaicfilm,neversobadthatyoufeelliketurningitoffbutneversogoodthatyoufeeltheurgetowatchitagain.Everyoneinvolvedhasdonebetter....andworse.…
