简介：ThisisaratherdepressingstoryaboutawomanwhosuffersdepressionandreturnstoSpainfromVenezuela,whereshehasbeenlivingwithherwealthylover.Thiswoman,wellplayedbyadubbedVivecaLindfors,seekstreatmentinanasylumwhichappearstobelocatednearMadrid.Althoughtheyhadn'tmeetsinceshewasa4yearsoldchild,herdaughter(adullSoniaBruno)isnotresentful,andjoinsthemotherintheasylum,wherethepatientwillundergoapsychodramatreatment.Theplotrevolvesaroundbothwomen'sdifficultrelationshipswiththeirrespectivelovers,andtherichpatientswhosurroundthemiddle-aged(VivecaandFranciscoRabal)andyoung(SoniaBrunoandJulianMateos)couples.Someothersmallcharacterswhicharequiteinterestingarepatientssuchasahighlyneuroticblondebombshellactress(playedbylovelyGisiaParadis),abipolarandgossipywoman(LalySoldevilla)...bothprovidingafewverywelcomecamphumourrelaxmomentstoanotherwiseverygloomystory.IlikedthepsychodramasessionscenewithVivekaandRabalreenactingthescenethattriggeredherdepression,andIthinkthatthefilmwaswellhandled,hadgoodproductionvalues,gooddevelopmentofcharacters.Maybetheyoungcouplelackedcharisma,andsomesceneswerealittlebitslow-paced.FranciscoRabalplayedhisusualstrongmale-voicedmasculineself,andifeffective,Idon'tfindhiminteresting.VivecaLindforswasverycompelling,andwithheruseofbodyandfacialexpressionsmanagedtobringtolifehernotveryappealingpartofadepressedbourgeoishousewife.JulianMateoshadanicebodyatthetime,andwasOKasthetorturedalcoholicandviolentpatientwhoseducesthevisitingsweetSoniaBraga.Overall,acuriousexampleoftheSpanishattemptatasortofnewwaveinthe1960'sbytheprestigiousMiguelPicazo(LaTiaTula,1964),andmainlyrecommendedtoMissLindfors'fans.…
