Byfilmingtheexperiencesandreactionsoftheindividualsinvolvedandthosearoundthemineachschool,theseriesaimstoprovideaninsightintosomeofthekeydifferencesbetweenthetwosectorsatatimewheneducationisapoliticalbattlefieldandthebroadperceptionisofagulfinstandardsbetweenthem. Withmorethanathirdofthecurrentcabinethavingemergedfromfee-payingschoolsandregularreportsaboutstateschoolpupilsfallingbehindtheirprivately-educatedcounterpartsinlandingplacesatthebestuniversitiesandthebestjobs,theprogrammeswillsetouttoexplorethesocial,economicandeducationalchallengesanddifferencesthatfacebothgroups.But,overthetwoepisodes,itwillalsoseektohighlightsharedexperiencestoseewhattheycanpotentiallylearnfromeachother.
