Clarkeisathermostanimateddescribinghervideoinstallationsandtravellingworkshops.Aparticularlymind-bogglingoneinvolvedacircleofmultiplescreenswiththeaudiencerotatedinthemiddle.Byuseoffastcuttingallsenseofmotionwasremoved. Itisthesortoffilmanyonefascinatedwiththeoreticalaspectsandnewapproachestofilmwilllove.Icanonlyfindtwocriticisms.OneisthattheinterviewquestionsinFrenchneededperhapstobesubtitled.Theotheristhatitwasn'tlongenough.ShirleyClarkecouldtalkaboutfilmalldaywithoutbeingboring.ListeningtoheratsuchlengthwouldbeanexperiencefewwouldhavetheprivilegeofuntilshebecameaprofessoratUCLAin1975(teachingfilmandvideountil1985).
