As''NearDeath''focusesattentiononquestionsofjustwherelifeendsandhowitsendingcanbestbehandled,itflinchesatnothing.It'snotforthetimid.Thoughthereisnofullautopsysequencedepictedhere,doctorsareseenstudyingdiseasedorgansinapost-autopsyevaluationsession;anothersectionofthefilmshowsexactlyhownursesremovethedeadfromtheirroomsandtransporttheminconspicuouslytothemorgue.Thenurses'casualnessaboutthisisatleastaschillingastheprocessitself.
