简介：12位西班牙青年导演各拍摄一部1分钟长的短片，用一个镜头完成，组成了这部奇怪的影像作品。 In1999theMexicandirectorandproducerJuanCarlosRulfo–thesonofJuanRulfo,thewriter,andtheauthorofthedocumentaryEnelHoyo-startedupanoriginalfilmendeavourwithhisproductioncompany,LAMEDIALUNA.JuanCarlosmadethefollowingproposalto10youngdirectorsfromhiscountry:theyweretoshootaone-minute-longfilminasinglesequentialshot.Theyeachhadtofacethischallengewithacancontaining400feetoffilmandahalf-dayofshooting:nomore,noless.SincetheproductioncompanywaslocatedonCalvaryStreetandtheone-minutelengthrequiredwasclosertobeing“tiny”thanshort,thetitleofthecollectioncouldonlybeLOSDIMINUTOSDELCALVARIO(TheTinyOnesfromCalvary). On24October2000,coincidingwithaspecialprogrammedevotedtoveteranMexicandirectorArturoRipstein,theTVprogrammeVERSIÓNESPAÑOLA,shownonchannelLa2,broadcastLOSDIMINUTOSDELCALVARIOasacomplement.TheideamadethestaffsoenthusiasticthattheydecidedtopromoteproductionofaSpanishsetoftheseDIMINUTOS.Todoso,theyorganisedamicro-scriptcontestforone-minutestoriestobeshotinasinglesequentialshot.Thefollowingyear,withthecomplicityofJavierCastroandConchaDiaz’sproductioncompanyFILMART,LOSDIMINUTOSDELCALVARIO,PARTII–SPAINpremiered,withtentinyfilmsshotbytentalentedSpanishshortdirectorswhohadpreviouslyparticipatedintheIberoamericanshortcontestVERSIÓNESPAÑOLA/SGAE. ThebroadcastwasverysuccessfulandtheprogrammedecidedtoprepareanothersetofDIMINUTOS,thistimeencouragedbyJulioFernández’sCatalanproductioncompanyFILMAX.Giventhiscompany’sspecialisationinthefantasygenre,thenewsetwasdevotedexclusivelytothisgenre.Twelveshortfilmdirectorswerechosenthistime. TodayLOSDIMINUTOSDELCALVARIOrepresentafamousprecedentfortheNOTODOFILMFEST.COMformat,eventhoughtheywereshotin35mmwithcinematicproductionmethods.Atotalof32delightfulone-minute-longstoriestowhichthe5theditionofNOTODOFILMFEST.COMispleasedtopaytributewiththisretrospective.Thisistheresultoftheinspiredworkof32talenteddirectors,someofwhomhavealreadymadesuccessfulfeaturefilmdebuts.Thirty-twojewelsthatmeritbeingseenandenjoyed.
