Greenmanleavesthatcity,theflowerdestroyed,butalittlechildstartsgrowingaflower." FarshidMesghali(bornJuly1943)isanIraniananimator,graphicdesigner,illustrator,andwriterwhohaslivedintheUnitedStatessince1986.HereceivedtheinternationalHansChristianAndersenMedalin1974forhis"lastingcontribution"asanchildren'sillustrator. MesghaliwasborninIsfahan,Iranin1943.StudyingpaintingatTehranUniversity,hebeganhisprofessionalcareerasagraphicdesignerandillustratorin1964.Aftergraduationin1968,hewassupportedbytheCenterfortheIntellectualDevelopmentofChildrenandYoungAdults(CIDCYA)inTehran.From1970to1978hemademanyofhisaward-winninganimatedfilms,postersforfilmsandillustrationsforchildrenbooksunderitsauspices.In1979hemovedtoParis.Inthenextfouryearsheworkedasanartistproducinganumberofpaintingsaswellassculptures,whichwerepresentedatSammyKingGalleryinPairs. In1986hemovedtoSouthernCalifornia.Heopenedhisgraphicdesignstudio,DesktopStudioinLosAngeles.From1990to1994hecreatedaseriesofdigitalartworksbasedonsnapshotphotos.TheywereexhibitedinsomegalleriesandlaterinL.A.CountyMuseumofModernArts.AtpresentheisworkingonafewsculpturesandinstallationprojectsinhisstudioinTehran. 详情
