AtthecentreofthefilmarepersonalaccountsofextraordinaryChineseCanadianswhosurvivedanerathatthreatenedtoeradicatetheirentirecommunity.Througharichmeldingofhistory,poetryandrawemotion,thisdocumentaryshedslightonanerathatshapedtheidentityofgenerations,withdeeplymovingtestimonials,itrevealstheprofoundwaysthishistorystillcastsitsshadow.
